Description

From 20th Century Studios, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere chronicles the making of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 Nebraska album when he was a young musician on the cusp of global superstardom, struggling to reconcile the pressures of success with the ghosts of his past. Recorded on a 4-track recorder in Springsteen’s New Jersey bedroom, the album marked a pivotal time in his life and is considered one of his most enduring works.

Adapted from Warren Zanes’s 2023 best-selling biography of the same title, Scott Cooper’s gritty drama focuses on the incandescent beauty of songwriting and the stark realities of depression. Jeremy Allen White offers a revelatory portrayal of an American icon. White inhabits the role with spirit, humanity, and nuance, depicting the rich emotional depth behind the rockstar persona. Cooper carefully builds the world around his protagonist, enlisting an all-star supporting cast including Jeremy Strong (as Springsteen’s longtime manager Jon Landau), Gabby Hoffmann, Paul Walter Hauser, Marc Maron, Odessa Young and a notable Stephen Graham.
